Then there's the Preservation Burlington tour's home base on Shelburne Road, a structure so familiar to Burlingtonians they probably don't look at it twice: The former gas station became The Spot. Colman calls the café's striking triangular canopy "classic modern design."

Preservation Burlington is pleased to announce that the 2010 Homes Tour will be held on Saturday June 26th from 12-4 pm. Included on this year's tour are modernist structures from the recent past located in our Queen City. |

Used to be that the beach-inspired fare at The Spot on Shelburne Road was only available till 3 p.m. That changed on March 4, when the cozy restaurant, located in a funky converted gas station on Shelburne Road, started slinging dinner Thursday through Saturday.
